Ushers
Ushers are ministers of hospitality, tasked with ensuring “All Are Welcome” at Sacred Heart Church. Ushers help seat people or assist the physically disabled or elderly and coordinate with those needing to receive communion in their seat. Ushers assist in handing out worship aids for Mass, take up collections, ensure there are people ready to bring the gifts to the altar and, when necessary, help direct the congregation at communion time. They greet mass attendees upon their arrival and distribute bulletins and other materials as needed before and after each liturgy.
