Will You Be Ready?

11 Aug 2013 by SHRCChurch, No Comments »

DSC_5994Today’s parable is a call to readiness and alertness to Jesus’ second coming.  Luke uses words like “awake”, “vigilant”, “ready”, and “prepared” to describe how a faithful servant will act in anticipation of this coming.  Waiting for Christ to return means working for the coming of the fullness of the Kingdom of God.  It is obvious that our culture today is in a desperate need of healing and we should be a light towards a correction.  Luke tells us: “Blessed are those servants whom the Master finds vigilant on his arrival.”

Will you be a light for Christ and be ready when Jesus knocks on your door?
