“…They Follow Me.”

“I give” them eternal life.”  Not “I will give”  or “I hope to give,” but “I give them.”  Right now, in this moment, our Lord gives eternal life to all who would let him be their Good Shepherd.  Eternal life is not a “pie in the sky bye and bye,” but a gift we can experience now.  As a member of his sheepfold Jesus is expecting a certain lifestyle: “My sheep hear my voice; I know them and they follow me.”  For instance Pope Francis at his first public Mass said that all Catholics must “build” the church and “walk” the faith – obviously following Jesus.  How are you following Jesus?
