Prepare Ye the Way!

9 Dec 2012 by SHRCChurch, No Comments »

In this second week of Advent we hear in Luke’s Gospel that the word of God came to John the son of Zechariah in the desert.  John traveled throughout the whole region of the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgivness of sin… “A voice of one crying out in the desert:  “Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths.”

Please consider making an effort to take advantage of one of the many opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation during this Advent season.

Communal penance services will be held at St. Michael’s at 11am and St. Jude’s at 7pm – both on Wednesday, December 12th.  A service for individual confessions will be held at Sacred Heart at 7pm on Monday, December 17th.  Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord!
