Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

Eucharistic Adoration is the adoration of Jesus Christ present in the Holy Eucharist!  Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will begin following conclusion of the 5:30 pm Holy Thursday Liturgy and continue until 10:00 pm on Thursday April 21, 2011 at Sacred Heart Church.

Please consider spending some time in prayer and meditation before our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.  It is a great way to spend special time with Him. You can ask Him for graces for yourself or for loved ones, reflect on His Word, or just keep Him company!

Stations of the Cross

Please join us for the Stations of the Cross here at Sacred Heart on Friday evenings during Lent at 6:30pm.  Also Stations of the Cross in our local planning group – St. Jude’s on Friday’s at 7pm, and at St. Michael’s on Wednesday’s at 11:30am.

Lenten Reflection Series to Begin!

On each Tuesday of Lent, beginning this Tuesday, March 15, Sacred Heart RC Church will have a special program on the Eucharist at 7pm in the church.  Ed Martin, a member of our parish who has a Doctor of Theology degree will lead this series of reflections on the Eucharist and give us some insight into the new Revised Roman Missal.  This is a fine opportunity for us all to explore the meaning of this sacrament.

2011 Lenten Calendar of Events

We are about to begin the sacred season of Lent which prepares us to relive the awesome events of the Passion and Death of Our Lord, Jesus Christ.  Please consider making this Lent one that is spiritually enriching for you.  Make a conscious choice to take on a positive activity… perhaps something you’ve never before!  That may be:  attend daily Mass, a Random Act of Kindness each day, spend a half-hour per day to either read and reflect on Scripture, commit to Stations of the Cross every week, or clear your calendar to make room for Parish Lenten activities!

A Lenten schedule of events being held at Sacred Heart Church and at our cluster parishes of  St. Michael’s and St. Jude’s during this 2011 Lenten season and a 2011 Catholic Calendar for your Lenten reflection are available by clicking on the links below.
