Pro-life Golf Tournament

Capitol Region Pro-Life Council will be hosting a 1st Annual Golf Tournament on Thursday, August 11 at Western Turnpike to benefit services and education ministries.  Cart, lunch and dinner included for $100.  Donations welcome.  More information and sign up call Susan at 452-1175.


Sunnyview Volunteers Needed

Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital is looking for new volunteers.  These volunteers deliver mail and flowers to our patients, as well as visit with them, assist them with writing letters, and some even shop for patients.  Please feel free to call Joan Vaviolette at 386-3631 for more information.



Our Confirmation program for 2012 is underway.  If  you are a teen, in at least 10th grade and have not yet celebrated the sacrament of Confirmation, and would like to celebrate this sacrament next Spring, you need to register ASAP.

Teens attending both Catholic and Public Schools need to participate in the immediate preparation for this sacrament.  Registration forms for the Confirmation program are available on the bulletin board in the church.


Attention Young Adults!

Ever wondered   just what’s going on at Mass?  Want to learn how to make the most of this time, but don’t know where to start?  Join us Thursday, July 21 at 7pm for “Capital Region Frassati Presents…”  What is the Mass? with    Fr. Rendell Torres.  Grab a brew and a bite to eat at Brown’s Brewing Co. in Troy, while learning more  about the Catholic faith with your peers.  All young adults 18-39, single or married are welcome.  Spread    the word!


Youth Conference Planned

All high school students are invited to participate in the St. Isaac Jogues youth conference at the Shrine of Our Lady of Martyrs in Auriesville.  This 3-day event which will be held July 15 -17, includes music, guest speakers, Eucharistic adoration, and confession.  To register for this retreat, or obtain additional information please contact the conference coordinator at joguesyc@gmail.com


Parish Office Summer Hours

Beginning Friday July 1st the Parish office will be on summer hours.  Summer hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00am – 2:00pm and Fridays 9:00am – 12:00 noon.


Graduate Mass Planned

Is there a graduate in your family?  We would like to honor all our parish graduates by inviting them to attend the 11:15am Mass on Sunday, June 26th for a special blessing.   A reception will be held following Mass for the graduates  and their families.  If you can attend, please call or email your graduate’s name and the number attending to Paula Daily 852-2994 or paula_gazeley-daily@uhc.com


YMT Joseph’s House Dinner

Altar Server Appreciation Nite 6/24/11

The parish will host an Altar Server Appreciation Night On Friday, June 24th at Joe Bruno Stadium.  The festivities begin with a picnic at 6pm and will be followed at 7pm by a baseball game featuring the Tri-City Valley Cats vs. Lowell Spinners (Red Sox).  Altar servers participating in the evening’s program attend free of charge.  Ticket prices  for all others are $25 for adults and $20 for children under the age of 12  (includes food and beverages at the picnic, admission to the ballgame and a complimentary baseball cap.)  Checks, made payable to Sacred Heart may be brought to the Rectory.  If  you plan to join in the fun, please notify the Rectory office as soon as possible at 274-1363.  Deadline is Monday, June 20th.


Healing Nite Scheduled June 13, 2011

Another HEALING NIGHT will be held at Sacred Heart Church on Monday, June 13, the day after Pentecost, at 7 P.M. Brother Peter Furlong FSC will be the leader. Brother Peter, a DeLaSalle Christian Brother, is an experienced leader in the healing ministry. The service consists of teaching, testimonies, healing prayer and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.  For more information call 273-1708.
