YMT Joseph’s House Dinner

Altar Server Appreciation Nite 6/24/11

The parish will host an Altar Server Appreciation Night On Friday, June 24th at Joe Bruno Stadium.  The festivities begin with a picnic at 6pm and will be followed at 7pm by a baseball game featuring the Tri-City Valley Cats vs. Lowell Spinners (Red Sox).  Altar servers participating in the evening’s program attend free of charge.  Ticket prices  for all others are $25 for adults and $20 for children under the age of 12  (includes food and beverages at the picnic, admission to the ballgame and a complimentary baseball cap.)  Checks, made payable to Sacred Heart may be brought to the Rectory.  If  you plan to join in the fun, please notify the Rectory office as soon as possible at 274-1363.  Deadline is Monday, June 20th.


Healing Nite Scheduled June 13, 2011

Another HEALING NIGHT will be held at Sacred Heart Church on Monday, June 13, the day after Pentecost, at 7 P.M. Brother Peter Furlong FSC will be the leader. Brother Peter, a DeLaSalle Christian Brother, is an experienced leader in the healing ministry. The service consists of teaching, testimonies, healing prayer and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.  For more information call 273-1708. Virtus Training

For those interested in working with children, in any capacity (e.g. Catechists, CYO Coaches, Aides, Assisting with school trips and service projects, etc.) there is a VIRTUS class being held at Our Lady of Victory Parish in Troy, NY on May 10th at 6:30pm.  All who plan to volunteer or help with children’s activities must attend this training. Confirmation Celebration

On Monday, May 9, 2011 Fifty candidates from our parish will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation at the Cathedral  of the Immaculate Conception in Albany.  We congratulate them as they continue on their journey of faith!

Passion of Our Lord

Sacred Heart Youth Ministry Team (YMT) presented a moving live reenactment of the Passion of Our Lord at Sacred Heart Church.  The members of SHS-YMT wish all members of the Sacred Heart Community a Blessed and Holy Easter Season!


Sacred Heart YMT Prepares for Living Stations

Members of the Sacred Heart Youth Ministry Team (YMT) rehearse the reenactment of the Passion of Our Lord.  Their live presentation of the Stations of the Cross will begin at 2:00 pm in Sacred Heart Church on Good Friday, April 22, 2011.

Sacred Heart Youth Ministry Team, a group of Catholic teen leaders in our community, draw together their unique God-given gifts to enliven and strengthen the faith of their peers and encourage each other to live as disciples of Jesus Christ.
