Calling on volunteers of all ages…  At Christmas time, we remember our many shut-ins with bags of treats, puzzle books etc.

If you are interested in helping with the planning, assembly or delivery, please join us on Monday, November 29th at 6:30PM in the cafeteria for a planning meeting.

Assembly of the bags will take place on Tuesday, December 7th at 6:30PM in the cafeteria.  What a great way to start the Advent Season!!!

Support for our Troops

In keeping with our theme Corporal Works of Mercy,  Sacred Heart School is collecting items to be sent to our troops serving overseas during the holiday season.  Anyone interested in donating items may drop them in the box located in the hall outside of church.  A list of donation items can be found on the school bulletin board.



An evening of reflection on the Psalms will be presented by Edward Martin on Tuesday, November 16 at 7PM in the church.  This is a wonderful opportunity to prepare for the Advent season.

Feast of All Souls (November 2, 2010)

On Tuesday, November 2nd, the Feast of All Souls, a special Mass of Remembrance will be offered at 7PM for our deceased parishioners, particularly those who passed away in the last year.  After the Mass, a light reception hosted by the Bereavement Committee will be held in the school faculty room.  All are welcome to attend.


8th Annual Sock Hop November 5th, 6:30 in the gym


Sacred Heart School collecting items for Holiday Boxes for the troops.

In recognition of Veteran’s Day and in coordination with Colonie Center and the area Blue Star Mothers we will be collecting items for “Operation Holiday Freedom Boxes” at the Sock Hop.  

“Operation Holiday Freedom Boxes” are a collection of items that will be sent to young men and women who are serving our country all over the world in all four divisions of our military. 

We will present Sacred Heart School’s Operation Freedom Boxes to the Blue Star Mothers at Colonie Center the weekend of November 13 and 14.  For participating in this event our school will receive 5,000 $chool Buck$ points.
