…It Is Freely Given!

Inspirational-5 (Resize)Jesus speaks of three lost items today: one sheep out of one hundred, a small insignificant coin, and an irresponsible wandering son.

These were items that most of Jesus’ listeners would not be concerned with, but notice the great rejoicing that occurred when they were found.

The most extraordinary element of these parables is the revelation of a God who loves each and every one of us uniquely and individually…

God throws away no one!

Some of us like the older brother have trouble with this type of grace, after all the younger brother didn’t earn it. And that is the point… we don’t have to earn it, it is freely given.  The older brother wouldn’t go to the party. Will you? It’s already started!
