Honoring Our Veterans!

04-17-10 Patriot Flight -351Sacred Heart School children have spent several days learning about those who have given their time, talents and even lives in order to make America the great country it is today.

Ideals of freedom, democracy, duty, honor, commitment and sacrifice were discussed while the children learned about our  responsibilities as citizens of this great Nation.  To all our Veterans on this Veterans Day Sacred Heart School sends a special Thank you to all those who have blessed this nation with their service!

If you have a family member, or know of anyone presently serving in the military, please call Sacred Heart Rectory and give Barbara their name and address.

St. Michael’s is currently doing a Christmas Collection for the Military for soldiers overseas and those recuperating in our Nation’s hospitals until November 17, 2013.

If you would like to donate, some suggested items are: playing cards, crossword and word find books, hard candy, toothpaste, tooth brushes, lip balm, hand wipes, stamps, dried fruits, cup-o-soup and trail mix.  If you also wish to send a card, we will include them in the boxes as well.
