Faith Formation Programs

Our first class is Sunday, September 15.

K-5 meet at 9:30, 6-12 meet at 6pm.

Our first meeting is for FAMILIES, see you in the cafeteria.

Overview of Programs

Sacred Heart’s Faith Formation encompasses a variety of programs for all age groups. Below are a listing of our programs and applicable schedules and registration forms. Our programs include:

  • Grades K-5 Faith Formation
  • Junior High Youth Catechism (Grades 6-8)
  • High School Confirmation Preparation (Grades 9-12)
  • RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults)
  • Marriage Preparation

Grades K-5 Faith Formation Program

Sacred Heart’s Grade K-5 Religious Education program for 2019-2020 will begin on Sunday, September 15, 2018.  Classes go between Sunday morning masses from 9:40 AM – 10:25 AM in the school. Please refer to our Registration form for registration fees.  Registration forms are due to the church office by Friday, September 6, 2019

If you volunteer as a catechist and have a child enrolled in the Sacred Heart Faith Formation Program, tuition for no more than one child is waived for each year you are a volunteer catechist.

Middle School Youth Catechism Program

The Junior High Youth Catechism Program is for grades 6-8 and is extended to public, private, and Catholic school students. The Junior High Program offers a social learning environment with an increased focus on volunteering, moral formation, and preparing pre-teens for the challenges and opportunities of their high school years.

For children completing the Sacred Heart Grades K-5 Faith Formation Program, the Junior High Youth Program is the perfect next step in their development as young Catholics.  Registration forms are due to the church office by Friday, September 6, 2019

High School Confirmation Prep Program


The Confirmation Preparation Program is open to all high school students, with a minimum requirement of two years for Confirmation. Students are welcome, and encouraged, to attend all four of their high school years.  Registration forms are due to the church office by Friday, September 6, 2019

Sacred Heart’s RCIA program is for those adult Catholics that are either coming into the Catholic Faith or those baptized Catholics seeking to complete their Sacraments of initiation: Eucharist and/or Confirmation. RCIA for the 2019/2020 year will meet Sunday mornings in the Church following the 8:30 AM mass.

Marriage Preparation

Engaged couples seeking a Sacramental Marriage at Sacred Heart are required to complete Sacred Heart’s Marriage Preparation course. The course entails four sessions of approximately two hours, and two meetings with the Sacred Heart Pastor.

Marriage Preparation is offered in both the late spring and late fall and are held Monday evenings.  If you have a need to complete Marriage Preparation prior to that, please let us know.

Hospital Visits

If you, or a loved one is admitted to the hospital, it is important that you identify yourself to the hospital as a member of Sacred Heart Parish or contact the Rectory (274-1363) to inform us of your hospitalization.
