Veterans Day Card 2015 (Frank) Veterans Day Card Recipient 2015 Veterans Day Cards 2015Religious Education, Grades 1-8:
As a practical example of our Catholic duty and obligation to serve the needy and forgotten, Religious Ed classes recently completed a Veteran’s Day service project.  Students designed and prepared personalized “Thank You” and “Happy Veteran’s Day” cards which were then distributed to veterans at the Stratton VA Hospital Center in Albany.  These cards served both as a valuable lesson for students in living the Gospel message to love in a Christ like manner while also serving as a tangible expression of that love for each veteran who receives them.  Religious Ed Classes will be held again THIS Sunday, November 22.

Parish Life:
The parish office invites you to participate in a weekly discussion of the Sunday readings. Study material will be provided to participants for eleven consecutive weeks, and small groups will meet for informal discussion and reflection on the readings. The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 24 at 10:30 am at the rectory. If this is not a convenient time for you to meet, we are encouraging parishioners to create their own discussion group. You can set your own schedule and meeting place, and we will provide the study guides for you. Please call Marge at the rectory for more information, or to indicate your interest in participating.

Confirmation Grades 9-10:
Class will be THIS SUNDAY, November 22 from 6-7:30pm.

Stuff The Birds:
Come help us “Stuff the Birds” SUNDAY, November 22 at 4pm in the Cafeteria. Sacred Heart’s Youth Ministry is proud to sponsor our very own “Mini- Equinox”. “Stuff the Birds” is aimed to provide a warm, home-cooked Thanksgiving meal to families in need within the parish catchment area. This event is open to all parishioners interested! We will be creating classic thanksgiving side-dishes and desserts, the more hands the better! Dinner will be provided for all of our hardworking volunteers!

RCIA and Adult Confirmation:
If you or someone you know is interested in receiving or completing the initiatory sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation or Holy Eucharist, or if you are interested in being part of a team to help prepare adults for these sacraments, please contact Marge Stockwell at the rectory, or at 272-0367.
