Altar Rosary Society Remembers

27 Oct 2013 by SHRCChurch, No Comments »

20131027_093517Members of the Sacred Heart Altar Rosary Society gathered at today’s 8:45 am Mass to worship and to celebrate the lives of Altar Rosary Society members who died over the past year.

The Sacred Heart Altar Rosary Society, founded in the 1930s primarily functions to care for the church altars and linens. Members clean and decorate the altar on a routine basis and ensure that all is in order prior to weekday and weekend Masses.  Members also form an honor guard and recite a decade of the Rosary at the funeral of all Altar Rosary Society members.

Dues are $5 annually for dry cleaning and Mass expenses.  For more information contact Marianne Haldeman  283-1066 email:  rhaldeman@nycap.rr.com
