A Story About Us!

17 Mar 2013 by SHRCChurch, No Comments »

If today’s Gospel passage had a headline it could read; “A Story About Us.”  First it is a reminder that judging people is a dangerous activity and secondly a story about how Jesus looks upon sin.  Clearly, Jesus is doing the judging instead of the scribes and Pharisees much to their dismay and disgrace.  The main lesson is on the manner in which Jesus deals lovingly, gently, patiently and with forgiveness to her.  Our own work during this Lenten period is like that of the woman: truthfully face our sinfulness and remain faithfully with Jesus!  “Go and sin no more” will be Jesus’ reply to us!
